I’m Matt Drake.

I advise founders, suppliers, and brokers on private-brand programs, Scintilla and MADRID reporting workflows, line-review preparation, and pricing discipline for Walmart and Sam’s Club. Retail Reason turns that operating knowledge and maintained reference material into guidance you can use without waiting on my calendar.

MAINTAINED DELIBERATELY

The answers run independently. The maintenance does not.

It is one person’s work, and it does not run on one person’s calendar. The service answers on its own; I am not between your question and its answer. What runs on me is the maintenance: I re-check higher-volatility facts before relying on them and update a content record’s date when I complete its re-verification. Every answer carries the applicable verification date and a confidence class; stale or time-sensitive details are called out. The current verification index shows the latest date on each public article, not an append-only history.

VISIBLE LIMITS

A date is evidence of a check, not a guarantee.

The date tells you how recently the supporting material was checked; it is not a promise that nothing changed afterward. This is deliberate maintenance, not continuous monitoring, and I do not claim to catch every retailer change as it happens.

DIRECT SUPPORT

When a person is needed, it is me.

Account setup is guided and self-serve. When support needs a person, it comes directly to me: I aim to reply within one business day when I am working; when I am away, the auto-reply says so and gives a return date.

Reach into your systems
None. No portal credentials, no account access, nothing read from your systems.
Your questions
Your selected AI client independently processes the conversation and returned Output under its own terms. Its tool request is processed by Retail Reason on Cloudflare and sent to the configured OpenAI API model. Retail Reason does not train its own models on customer content. OpenAI’s data use, explicit static-prefix caching, and provider-side retention are stated in Privacy; the launch providers are named in subprocessors.
Your term
Monthly or annual, with no minimum beyond the selected paid term. Price and paid licensed scope stay fixed for that term; legal and urgent security changes follow Section 19 of the Terms. Cancel renewal online at any time; access continues through the period already paid.
If the service ends
A planned permanent closure carries 60 days’ written notice and a refund of unused prepaid service. Account and workspace configuration remains recoverable for 30 days after access ends. Terms, section 15.
